#MAGNETIC_girls / film by Anton Garets
"#MAGNETIC_girls / film by Anton Garets" is the second set from the 2015 loft shoot that you can also see in It's all about #MAGNETIC_girls: the same concrete walls, white brick and green leather sofa, the same red, blue, white and gray suits. The 24 frames below look different, because they have the color and the grain of film and because the camera also catches what happens between the poses.
This is the same shoot as It’s all about #MAGNETIC_girls, the suits at the Tishina café, seen in the second vision of Anton Garets. He photographed it on a professional camera and on film, and the two sets are two visions of one master.
The mood
This is a shoot that shows its own making. In one frame a makeup artist applies lipstick to a model in a red jacket; in another, two people in the background look at the models, and the crew sits at a table near the window. Two models wear large black-framed glasses, and one frame is turned into black and white. Someone holds a cocktail glass, someone lies with a head on a magazine, and through the window you can see a city street. The mood is a rehearsal that nobody wanted to stop.
The looks
The suits are the same ones: a cobalt blue suit with satin lapels worn open, a red suit with a white shirt, a white suit, charcoal and black. The film look makes the blue and the red deeper and gives the white shirts a soft, almost warm tone. The poses are looser than in the first set: seated on the arm of a sofa, leaning on a table, laughing in pairs.
The idea behind the shoot
We wanted the suit to look like something that a woman wears for a long evening, not for a photograph, and the behind-the-scenes moments help with that. The frames are credited to Anton Garets in the title of the set.

For the same relaxed way of wearing a suit, look at the oversize blazer and the straight-cut trousers, or at the trouser suits section. Our guide to the oversize blazer shows how.
