MAGNETIC SUMMER 2015 / official video campaign
The official video of our MAGNETIC SUMMER 2015 campaign is 31 seconds long and was published on 8 July 2015, a few months after we founded MAGNETIC in Odesa in March of that year. It was shot by Meer production. The film is below, and the stills and behind-the-scenes frames of the same shoot are in MAGNETIC SUMMER 2015 / adv campaign and the preview.
The official video of MAGNETIC Summer 2015 is the result of our creative partnership with videographer Andrey Tashchi of Meer production. We like very much how it is made: skilfully, with craft and with a precise choice of the right moments.
The video complements the photographs of the summer 2015 campaign.
The mood
The video is wide and cinematic, with black bars above and below the picture. In the opening shot a model in a white and green visor stands against a pale green wall with an old wooden window, and a long panel of turquoise fabric is lifted by the wind and spreads from her shoulders to the sides like wings. The colors are warm and soft, the light is low and gold, and the movement is slow. It is a summer that is quiet and a little dreamy, not a loud one.
The looks
The turquoise piece is a flowing dress with a V-neck and a gathered waist, and the same cut appears in the stills from the airfield, where the model walks across dry grass. In the hangar frames of the same shoot she wears a coral red dress. Summer for us in 2015 was color, free cuts and a few strong accessories, and the film shows all three in thirty seconds.
What was written about it
In July 2015 PINK Ukraine wrote about our first capsule collections in a note on MAGNETIC, and mentioned that the summer capsule was already on sale. The video came out in the same month.
Thirty seconds
The film is short on purpose. Thirty-one seconds are enough for a series of gestures: a step, a turn, a lifted panel of fabric, a hand on a wall. Over the first shot the white logo MAGNETIC brand clothes appears, and then the picture returns to the model and the wind. The credit goes to Meer production.
