MAGNETIC SUMMER 2015 is our advertising campaign from the first summer after we founded MAGNETIC in March 2015. The 19 frames below were shot on an airfield: in a hangar between light aircraft and outside on the apron in bright sun.

MAGNETIC Summer 2015 Advertising Campaign is one of the designer’s favourite shoots. We managed to convey and show everything we wanted.

These are glossy photographs that, after more than a decade, have not lost their beauty or relevance. We still look at them today and see that they are beautiful.

The mood

The campaign plays with contrast. Inside the dark hangar the light is low and the colors are saturated, outside the sky is clear and the fabrics move in the wind: a long piece of turquoise fabric trails behind one of the models. A sun visor, sandals on thick soles and tied-back hair keep the styling simple, so the clothes stay in focus. Wind, sun and movement are the real subjects of these frames: the cuts are made to be seen in motion.

The looks

Coral red is the leading color. In one frame the model wears a halter dress with an open back, an elasticated waist and an asymmetric hem; in another, a sleeveless red wrap-neck dress with a slit and an elastic waist. Outdoors, one model is in a turquoise V-neck piece with an elasticated waist, the other in a turquoise dress with a black zip bodice and a flared skirt.

The collection
