Oversize blazer: how to wear a relaxed cut

A loose blazer is a piece that we throw over everything already put on: over a shirt on Monday and over a summer dress on Friday evening. We cut such blazers loose so that they work in the office and on a day off, and below we tell you about four of them.

The office, in the morning

For the office we take a gray or black oversize, straight trousers such as the straight-cut trousers, a white shirt and loafers. The relaxed cut leaves room under the sleeve and across the shoulders, so the blazer does not restrict movement in long meetings. Of the bags, we choose the one that holds a laptop and does not spoil the silhouette.

A day off, jeans

On a day off we wear a loose blazer with jeans, a plain T-shirt and sneakers. The cropped blazer sits well on a high waist, and the single-breasted checked one adds warmth to the look: brown check goes with caramel, cream and black. A white top, and the look is assembled in a minute.

A summer evening, linen

A linen blazer in green or yellow is a light layer for an evening after the heat. We put it over a linen or flowing dress, put on sandals and add a small bag. Linen creases, and that is part of its character: do not burden the look with ironing.

A skirt and a dress

We pair the single-breasted and the cropped blazers with skirts, for example the maxi skirt: a loose top and a long bottom create a contrast in proportions. Over a dress the blazer makes the look more put together, and when you take it off you return the lightness.
