Dress with built-in cups: how to wear it

In October a day starts with coffee at eight and ends at the theater or at dinner with friends, and between those two points there is rarely time for five changes of clothes. For days like that we make dresses with built-in cups: the top is already shaped, and the look comes down to three decisions: the skirt, the shoes and one detail. Here is what to do with it, on four of our dresses.

• Eyelet dress with cups — midi, full skirt, batiste lining; black and white, sizes XS–XL
• Poplin dress with cups — maxi, full skirt (81 cm at the front, 93 cm at the back), an 18 cm corset back; pink, red, light blue, black, white, sizes XS–L

Eyelet on a Sunday

The white midi dress in eyelet is a Saturday lunch on a terrace and a Sunday walk along the embankment. We wear it with flat caramel leather sandals, a woven bag and a single pair of hoop earrings; it needs nothing else, because the eyelet already does the work. The black version in the same eyelet turns out differently: with heels and a clutch it is dinner, with a loafer and a leather jacket over the shoulders it is an evening at a bar.

Poplin for a celebration

The poplin maxi with an 18 cm corset back is a dress for a friend's birthday or a wedding that you are invited to. The full skirt (81 cm at the front, 93 cm at the back) leaves room to move, and the corset back gives the look structure from the first toast to the last dance. We choose pink or light blue and add sandals on a thin heel and a small bag; the red we wear with black accessories and gold earrings. If it is cool outside, we throw on the black cropped blazer.

A slit for summer

The cup dress with a slit is our summer option: the top is 17 cm long at the back and the skirt 85 cm, so the slit works with every step. Yellow is for those who are not afraid of color, black and white with print for those who want calm. With a print we take plain accessories: leather sandals, a minimum of jewelry. With a plain dress we add texture: a woven bag, a leather belt. The same works for the black model, which is available now in size XS.

#lifehack: before leaving, stand in front of a mirror and take two steps: the slit should open exactly as much as is comfortable for you in motion.

Shoes: heels or flats

We made these dresses to go with any shoes. A heel lengthens the silhouette and shows off the skirt; a flat sole makes the look calmer and better for a long day. Choose by the occasion, not by fashion.
