Maxi and mini skirts: what to wear them with

A skirt is one of those pieces that we put into the wardrobe first and change last. Maxi, mini, checked, eco-suede: they have different characters but one rule: a simple top and a clear line at the bottom. Below are the four skirts that we make and what we wear each with.

• Maxi skirt — length 95 cm; black, green, beige and brown, sizes XS–L
• Checked maxi skirt — length 99 cm; brown, sizes XS–M
• Eco-suede skirt — mini, length 47 cm; turquoise, brown, green, black, beige, sizes XS–L
• Checked flannel mini skirt — a classic mini; burgundy, sizes XS and S

Maxi, autumn in the city

The black maxi, 95 cm long, we wear with a thin turtleneck, a long cardigan and ankle boots; the green one needs a neutral top: white, milk, gray. Tell yourself: two colors, one accent. A shirt with a maxi skirt looks neat, a blazer adds formality, and a vest adds warmth.

#lifehack: before leaving, walk across the room: a maxi 95–99 cm long should show the ankle in motion and not sweep the floor.

Check, Sunday

The checked maxi, 99 cm long, is brown, in warm shades. We wear it with a plain cream sweater and boots, and on a cool day we add a shirt under the sweater. We take a leather bag, brown, of a small size. Sizes XS–M: do not put the choice off.

Mini, October

The eco-suede mini, 47 cm long, comes in five colors, from turquoise to beige. The matte texture of eco-suede goes well with a light shirt, a blazer and black tights. The burgundy flannel mini we wear with a checked shirt from the same family, and in the evening with a black top and a blazer.

Shoes

We made the skirts to work with heels and with flat shoes: choose by the day. For long walks, loafers or sneakers; for dinner, pumps.

Size
