Blazer with a belt: how to wear it

A red blazer is the piece you put on on a Monday morning so that the day goes by your plan. We cut it fitted and single-breasted and put a belt in the set: that gives you two blazers in one, a strict one with the belt and a looser one without it. Monday, negotiations

For the office we take the belt and straight trousers in a quiet color, such as our straight-cut trousers. The waist is defined, the silhouette is clear, and the red stays the only accent. We add a white shirt, a leather bag of a strict shape and loafers or pumps on a low heel. Jewelry is minimal: a watch and stud earrings.

Friday, jeans

Without the belt the blazer becomes looser, and we wear it with jeans, a plain top or a T-shirt and closed shoes. A good base is the black oversize crop top: two black elements keep the red blazer as the main note. Sneakers on a white sole, a small crossbody bag, and the day goes on to the evening without extra thought.

Saturday, a dress

We also throw the blazer over a dress when we want the look to feel more put together: over a summer print dress, over a black slip. Thursday, dinner

For the evening we put the blazer over black trousers and a thin top or over a short black dress, and we pull the belt tight: with it the red blazer already looks evening. Shoes are pumps or stiletto sandals, the bag is a clutch, and long earrings are enough jewelry. If the evening is cool, the blazer also works instead of a light coat: put it over your shoulders without buttoning it.
