Satin dress: maxi, mini and with a belt

Satin is a fabric that does half the work for you: light falls on it differently every minute. We make four dresses from it with a flowing silhouette, and the removable belt lets you change the fit: with it the waist is defined, without it the dress is looser. Below is how we wear each.

Dinner, Tuesday

Satin shines on its own, so in the evening we add only heels and a small bag. The black maxi with the belt is for a restaurant: long earrings, a clutch, hair gathered. The mini works in the evening just as the maxi does: the milk mini with a thin gold pendant and stilettos is for a cocktail evening.

#lifehack: satin shows every crease, so before leaving raise your arms and lower them: the fabric should lie flat, without pulling at the waist.

Day, the office

By day we wear the satin dress without the belt, with a blazer such as the black cropped blazer, and flat shoes. The light blue one, 114 cm long, looks strict and light that way; the pink one has shoulder pads, and the black blazer makes it businesslike.

A celebration, a friend's wedding

For a friend's wedding we take the light blue or the pink one: with the belt, sandals on a thin heel and a small bag. For a late evening, when it gets cooler, a light jacket over the shoulders is enough. The shoulder pads on the pink one give the silhouette clarity, so extra accessories are not needed.

Colors

Milk and white read soft, red and pink more expressive, black and gray restrained, light blue fresh like summer. Choose by the occasion, not by fashion: milk suits a morning ceremony, red or black a night concert.
